- Personal experiences in mandarin for the exhibition
通过主办单位在08年所办的摄影比赛，我获邀到斯里兰卡为当地受海啸灾害的贫苦国民献一份爱，尽一份棉薄之力。
兴奋及愉悦的心情在抵达灾区之际一扫而去。受海啸波及的灾民，自04年至今仍然生活在水深火热之中。头上没有一片瓦，脚下也少了块砖。吃了这一顿，下一餐也不晓得有没有着落。在人道组织驻斯里兰卡的协助之下，购买、运输及分配米粮的工作虽然辛苦，但每当看到灾民们感激万分的笑容时，就觉得所付出的这一切和汗水流得真是值得。
记得在分发米粮的一天，发生了一件让我印象非常深刻的插曲。那天我们必须到两个灾区进行工作，但是在到达第二个地点时，老天却轰隆的下起了倾盆大雨，毫无预警。这时，工作人员及灾民们都慌了，因为卡车上的米粮一旦湿了就不能旧藏。正当大家七手八脚的把卡车上的米粮快速的搬到另一辆有盖的客货车上时，一袋白米暴破而撒了一地，真是祸不单行。这时，一名十来岁的小孩抱了个扭曲变形的破锅子，猛把地上的白米连同泥浆、砾石和雨水一概捧起就往破锅子里灌。就是这一幕，我们这些来自新加坡的温室小花小草们无一不掉泪的。
在斯国的这十来天，我把所见的一切通过了镜头记录了下来。希望通过这次的照片展，带大家去看看世界一个较不幸的角落。身为地球村一份子的你，也请为这阴暗的角落亮盏灯吧！ |

| | Only covered the event for the morning and felt so tired. The 1500 participants are extremely amazing!!! They swim, cycle, and run for 70.3km.
Both champions are from Australia. The man spent <4 hrs to compete the whole race. |
| | The competition was interrupted by rain and forced to postponed twice this year.
Lion dancers compete with each other show off their skills and stunts. However, I think the world champion Guan Sheng Kong from Muar, Malaysia, is still unbeatable. |
| | After the 11 days photographic expediture to Sri Lanka, our team had finally returned with many great photos. They will be exhibited in Jan 2009.

| | Sri Lanka, an island with many beautiful beaches which situated right below of India. Therefore, it has a nickname called Teardrop of India. In despite of the internal war and unstability of the politic, the people are still friendly. Food is delicious and low cost. |
| | Ride on a jeep and flying in the wild,just like what you saw on the Animal Planets. Dust covered all over my body and equipments but it was extremely cool!
The parks are worth to visit if you are an animal lovers. I stayed at Yala Village and it's... OMG! Very well equipped and very comfortable. It is situated in the park, therefore, there is no boundary between the wild animals and myself. haha... I was scared by a big wild boar on my way to dinner. If kena hit by it, then bye bye liao. :) |
| | The Esala Perahera festival is Kandy's biggest Buddhist event from 12-27 August. It involves elaborately decorated elephants and street performances.
I was there at the final night of the festival to enjoy the grandest affair. First time holding a foreign media pass in such a big event and was getting so close to the performers, it was definitely a memorable experience for me. |

| | Visited Cat Cat village and Shin Zai village, a lot of trekking today.
The children are hungry, dirty, and unhealthy. Nothing much we can do besides given them a small piece of cake which made me felt sad and sorry.
